A Big Thank You for Your Help
In the last newsletter, I asked you to help me with a title for the first book in my new Inspector Ramsay series. Many of you answered the call and there was a great response to my short straw poll so I’m sharing the results with you.
In first place was the title ‘The Runaway Riddle’ with 51% of the votes. Second was ‘Peril Among the Peaks’ (37% of the votes), and third place went to ‘Retired Sleuth Takes a Vacation’ with 6%. Two creative readers came up with alternate titles at 3% each to bring the total up to 100%.
Here are those alternate titles:
My thanks go to whoever suggested “Hey Diddle Diddle, the Runaway Riddle’. I like it so much I’m going to use it. It rhymes and it includes the title that topped the poll.
My thanks also go to the person who suggested ‘One Man and His Dog’ because it has given me my series title of ‘A One Man and His Dog Historical Cozy Mystery.’
With these decided, I can now place the first Inspector Ramsay book on Amazon as a pre-order. It isn’t going to be as soon as I’d hoped because work on ‘Royally Whacked’ (coming on November 1) and illness have reduced my output this year. I think December 1st should still be possible. Those of you who have been waiting, my apologies; next year should be better.
